Who would be your perfect Flower Girl?
For many of you, the choice could be obvious. On the other hand others might have to worry about picking among several possible candidates. There is perhaps no reason why you cannot have two or more flower girls - it should add to their confidence and peps up the cuteness factor at the wedding. However, try not selecting someone who is too young -- she might be be perhaps scared or even confused. Ideally, an older girl may be more suited for a job such as a reader or a junior bridesmaid. If your only choices are unsuitable having a flower girl isn't really a compulsion.
A flower girl usually would be a young girl between the ages of 5 and 8 - decked up in pretty flower girl dresses - who would perhaps have a special connection with the bride or groom. In most cases the flower girl would be a niece or a cousin, or sometimes, even a family friend. The flower girl follows the bridesmaids with a basket of flowers scattering the flowers down the aisle.
For hundreds of years flower girls have been believed to bring in luck and happiness to the wedding. Flower girls perhaps first appeared in the Middle Ages, bearing wheat to symbolise fertility. Even today every little girl has a dream of being a wonderful looking flower girl in a fairy tale wedding. Children, of course,prom dresses 2010, are a special attraction in any wedding.
